EO1

The register records works and their relations. It does not own or govern them.

Each entry is an attestation. Its relations show what it derives from and what derives from it.

Works entering via EO1 are by default "No Rights" and available for use, remix and revival. They are dedicated to the cultural commons and reject the premise that works are ownable assets. The only condition attached to use is that the original author is attributed in susbequent iterations or editions. This act of attribution honours and maintains the lineage of a work, allowing the voice of the work to persist across time and space. Works entering via external sources are recorded as such: a licence field declares how works may be used in such cases. The register is a decentralised, non-discretionary public record of cultural works and is open to all.
